Smoking.

So, this is my message to all the chain smokers out there. Please do share this post, not for me, but for all those Anokhi's out there.
This is not a personal story, just a way of representing my thoughts.

Anokhi's point of view

Dear Father,
I know you love me and our family and I am the centre of your world. I know you can do anything for me, but, what I fail to understand is why you can't leave this habit of yours?

I fail to understand that if I am so important to you, why are you risking my and our family's future?
Why for you, that role of toxic is more important than us? Why do you always lie to us that you shall leave it? Why did you swear on me, the other day?
Why do you choose it over us? Why don't you think about us, the effect it has on us?
Why don't you understand that it is not you who smokes, it is us, our family that becomes a passive smoker?
Why do you fail to understand that it is not you that is killing yourself day by day, it is us, who are dieing everyday knowing that this thing is cancerous.
Why don't you realise that history repeats itself most of the time, and we live in the fear of loosing you everyday?
Why can't you attempt to quit smoking, for once atleast?
Dad, you know we are not independent, me, little brother and mumma, we are all dependant on you, and even if we are independent, we need you always.
We can never want to loose you, and, this for sure is taking you away from us.

Dad, you know how much we all dislike this habit of yours, and honestly, if you don't leave it today, little brother will also do it one day...
Today we are living in the fear of loosing you a bit, everyday... tomorrow, someone who is dear to me would smoke and I shall never be able to stop him, because, I failed as a daughter to stop you, and, the fear we are living in today shall be my future too.
What's mumma's fault in this? Mumma will fear loosing bhai, every single day after he starts with this 'healthy' habit of yours. Why don't you for once, think about us?
What I fail to understand is, that is your addiction to smoking more important than our love for you?

We know you love us, but for now, we don't need any proof of this love. We just want you to try, atleast try.

    How nicely you conveyed the thoughts..this is exactly what I think and want every smoker to quit this.Good Job!

    And it all starts with a puff turning out into a habit. Smoking not only kills a person but it drains a person's life too. I persnolly have tried many at times to quit but ended up smoking. Still trying. Somewhere I feel dissapointed with myself. Lucky are those who are able to quit smoking. Nice work.

      Trust me, you, it's not about luck but will power.
      I don't know if I know you enough to comment that you probably didn't try, but, next time, if you wish too, read this Once again...and try.
      And 10years down the lane, if you are able to quit it, you shall win every battle you fight.
